In support of the Kenyan creative designers, the third edition of The Social Sunday Fashion Brunch was set for the 30th October 2022 at The Social House Nairobi hosted by the award-winning stylist Connie Aluoch in partnership with Samsung Kenya. In attendance were some of the who’s and who’s in the fashion industry, Natalie Tewa dressed by 2nu Boutique, The Dapper Brother dressed by yours truly and the chairperson of the Kenya Tourism Board Joanne Mwangi Yelbert.
The fashion brunch was the height of all things fashion, dare we say the event by itself is probably the most revered fashion event in the calendar. On the runway would be a few Kenyan brands are that culturally conscious, invitees really stepped up and showed out with their very well-arranged African ensembles that really made feel us hopeful that the crowd we were about to show our Huru collection to were not only fashion conscious but also proudly wore their African themed apparel.
For the brunch we had dedicated ourselves to really express what we are as a brand - to create beautiful clothing that inspires our clients to tell tales about their cultures that inspired their pieces. Our main focus for the brunch was the Huru collection, because while crafting the collection, we had considered our impact on society and the environment therefore we used reusing/ recycling off cuts. The collection is both sustainable and still very fashionable.
Our Pop-Up stand was ready and our dashing models were ready to hit the runway, in detail, here are some of the well put gallery of pieces that wowed the audience at Fashion Brunch;
